Natural - American Waxed Linen - now in stock - limited supply

We have received some of the natural color in the American Waxed Linen. The sizes of cords are not the same as the American Heather Sand color we already carry. Please be aware that the new 4 ply natural American waxed linen is approximately the same size as the Crawford 4 ply. The 6 ply natural American is slightly smaller than the Crawford 7 ply. The heather sand is thicker in both sizes.

Currently, the Natural Color is unavailable from the Crawford factory.
The current supply of raw materials will not dye that color correctly. They are working on the problem,
but it will likely be several months before it is resolved - not before Spring 2025.

Please Note: Dyelots vary with each shipment. Monitors see colors differently.

**Waxed Linen Thread made in the United States**

Crawford waxed linen is PH neutral which is desireable to bookbinders. The PH of the American waxed linen is 9 - also a great product for bookbinders!
We have received a limited supply of the natural color in the American Waxed Linen. The sizes of the actual cords are not the same as the Heather Sand color we already carry. The 4 ply & 6 ply heather sand is thicker in both sizes. Please be aware that the new 4 ply natural American waxed linen is approximately the same as the Crawford 4 ply. The 6 ply natural American is slightly smaller than the Crawford 7 ply.

This cord is the "natural" linen color that we call: Heather Sand.. These cords are thicker than the Crawford waxed linen. 4 ply is closer to 7 ply Crawford, and 6 ply is probably about like 12 ply Crawford in diameter.
