All our handles are American-made of solid wood - unless otherwise specified. Some vary more than others. Most handles are being glued with water resistant glue, but the handles should not be soaked.

Handle sizes are approximate and tend to vary with each shipment. PLEASE BE FLEXIBLE!




Market (D) Handles: Hickory or Oak

Hickory handles are either overlapped (with a smooth joint) or finger jointed in the corners. They are all glued with water resistant glue. The stapled oak handles are overlapped (with a "step-up" - not smooth - join). Depending on what is available from the manufacturers, we do not always have both in stock. We will substitute the style 'joint' available if we do not have your first choice in stock. If this is a problem, please call to check availability. Note: as good bendable Hickory is becoming harder to obtain, the manufacturer is using oak more and more.....
