Cotton webbing traditionally used on Shaker style chair seats. It is also popular in basketry as handles and backpack straps. Our Shaker tape is the authentic, original American-made tape. Colorfast. Sold in whole yard increments only. Rolls are NOT one continuous length. There will be an additional charge to cut tape to specific lengths. Formula for figuring yardage for seats is at the bottom of this page.

Shaker Tape is available in: 5/8" & 1" widths.

Formula for Measuring Amount of Shaker Tape Needed For A Seat:

Answer is in yards

#1 - Measure the width of the seat at the widest point (in inches).
#2 - Measure the depth of the seat at the deepest point (in inches).
#3 - Multiply the width by the depth.
#4 - Divide by 9 for 1" Tape.
     Or - Divide by 5.3 for 5/8" Tape
